Rayvan Teague, Athletic Director
Coach Rayvan Teague Rayvan Teague is beginning his seventh year as head football coach and athletic director at Carrollton High School. He is a native of Flintstone, Georgia. Coach Teague received a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education — History from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He received his Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from Georgia Southern University. He received his Specialist Degree in Administration from Lincoln Memorial University.
Coach Teague began his coaching career at Henry County High School (1985-1987) serving as defensive coordinator. He later coached at Clarke Central High School in Athens (1987-1990) serving as offensive coordinator. Coach Teague served as athletic director and head football coach at LaFayette High School from 1990-1993. During his four-year tenure, LaFayette made three playoff appearances and won one region championship. In 1994, Teague became the athletic director and head football coach at Swainsboro High School. During his eight seasons at Swainsboro, the Tigers made five playoff appearances, won two region championships, and won the 2000 AAA State Championship.
The Trojans have compiled a record of 62-13 and won two regional championships during Teague’s six seasons as head coach — bringing his overall football coaching record to 161-49-1 during his 17 seasons as a head coach. Teague considers the opportunity to serve the community of Carrollton and its young people a great honor. His desire is to uphold and build upon the strong tradition of excellence set forth by his predecessors and the Trojan faithful. Coach Teague is married to the former Beth Roberts of Chattanooga, Tennessee. They have three children: Laurel, Taylor and Barrett.
Bill Green, Head Athletic Trainer
Bill serves as the Head Athletic Trainer at Carrollton High School. Prior to his employment with the Carrollton City School System, he was an assistant athletic trainer at the University of West Georgia for five years where he covered all sports. Also, from 2000 -2006 he worked for the Atlanta Braves Baseball Club as an assistant athletic trainer for home games. Bill earned his degree from the University of West Georgia in 2000. He is certified by the NATA.
Phyllis Skinner, Assistant Athletic Director and Bookkeeper
Phyllis Skinner began working for the Carrollton City School System in 1980 as bookkeeper and assistant athletic director. Mrs. Skinner is a graduate of Carrollton High School and a former cheerleader. Her husband Mack played football, baseball and basketball at Carrollton High School and went on to attend Mississippi State where he played football and baseball. They were married in 1967 and have three children, all Carrollton graduates: Lori, Jeff and Angie. Lori, a teacher at Carrollton Middle School, is married to Kevin Higgs and they have two children, Jacob and Hannah. Jeff received a baseball scholarship to LaGrange College where he met and married his wife, the former Shelley Baker. They have three children: Canon, McLain and Baker. Angie, a teacher at Haralson County High School, is married to Chad Murray and they have one son, Ty.
Lori Harris, Administrative Assistant
Lori Harris began working for the Carrollton City School System in 2000 as the career center specialist before transferring to the Athletic Department. After graduating from Carrollton High School, she attended Auburn University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and speech with a minor in journalism. Prior to joining the CHS staff, Mrs. Harris served as the program director of the Community Care Program sponsored by Tanner Medical Center. Her employment experience also includes assistant director of marketing for Coliseum Medical Centers in Macon, GA; director of marketing for United Way of Central Georgia and editor and interim public affairs officer for U.S. Army Public Affairs in Wildflecken, Germany. She is married to John Harris, and they have two sons: Josh, a sophomore at Auburn University, and Dan, an eighth grader at Carrollton Junior High School.
Rich Brown, Events Coordinator
Rich Brown enters his fifth season with the Carrollton football program. Brown, a 35-year veteran educator, previously served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years until retirement from the military, the University of West Georgia, and most recently with the Department of Veteran Services. Rich currently serves as the Events Coordinator at Carrollton High School. He has a Masters degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelors degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. A native of Coral Gables, Florida, he was a starter on an undefeated Gables High School football team that won national and state championships. He is married to Chris Brown, school nurse for the City School System. They have two daughters, Stacey and Laurie, both graduates of Carrollton High School.
